Market regulator Sebi has given its nod for Vikram Limaye’s appointment as the Managing Director and CEO of NSE.
Limaye would take charges once the Supreme Court (SC) relieves him from his duties at the committee of administrators (CoA) of BCCI, the report said.
The Supreme Court had appointed Limaye and three others to the CoA of BCCI in January, tasking them with overseeing the cricket body’s affairs.
NSE has been headless for more than six months now, a situation unprecedented in its history. The board of the exchange has been forced to take some of the management decisions.
The bourse has also been awaiting Limaye’s takeover to fast-forward its public listing plans.
